Whorls of Oregon Triton Snail Eggs
Whorls of bright white bits coat crevices of rock outcroppings. The source? Oregon triton (Fusitriton oregonensis) snails churning out hundreds of tiny eggs. The Nautilus team spotted this spiraling snail factory at 248m depth in Quinault Canyon, NOAA Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.
