Tell us about your work/ research. What kinds of things do you do?
I believe in merging science, policy, and communications to make real changes in protecting our planet and expanding the reach of science.
What sparked your initial interest in your career?
I have always had a passion for marine science, especially biology, and the importance of spreading knowledge and appreciation of our planet's oceans.
Who influenced you or encouraged you the most?
My mother inspired me to love the ocean and encouraged me to follow my dreams.
What element of your work/ study do you think is the most fascinating?
The ingenuity of science and how new methods are constantly evolving.
How did you get involved with the Nautilus Exploration Program?
I applied for an open job and was happy to be hired!

Writing, reading, rescuing animals, horror films, vegan cooking
What advice would you give someone who wants to have a career like yours?
Don't be afraid to look for paths that are similar even if they're not exactly what you thought you'd be doing.
