Whittney Elmer
Alii! My name is Whittney Elmer. I was born in Guam and raised in Guam, Palau, and California. My family is from the state of Aimeliik but I spent most of my time in Koror. Growing up in the islands, I've come to have a deep love and appreciation for island culture and traditions. Because of my closeness to the ocean in all the places I've lived, I have a deep love and appreciation for the ocean and marine conservation.
I am a first generation college graduate and graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.S in Environmental Science with an emphasis in marine science. I currently work in Professional Services at Esri, as a Delivery Coordinator which I would describe in short terms as a junior project manager. In my free time, I tutor English to adults, take up photography, paint, swim, hike, or just stay home and cuddle up with my cattle dog Hollie and a good book. I am excited to be here as a Fellow, and excited for all the learning to come!
