Ronnie Sade
Graduated the Hydrographic Studies program at IMA,Trieste (Italy) and later headed the Marine Mapping Division at the Survey of Israel.
In 2001 joined Dr. John K. Hall (Geological Survey of Israel) who initiated the Israel National Bathymetric Survey (NBS) project and have been the key member ever since.
Holds a bachelor degree in Geography & Remote Sensing (2000) followed by M.Sc. on "Morphology and Backscatter of Northern Israel Continental Margin Based on High Resolution Multibeam System" (2006) from Tel Aviv University.
Currently a doctoral student at Haifa University (MKB Foundation scholarship) aiming to summarize bathymetric and morphological studies of three water bodies along the Dead Sea Rift: The fresh water Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret) (2008), the hyper-saline Dead Sea (2006-2007) – the lowest place on earth and one of the most challenging environments, and the northern end of the Red sea – The Gulf of Eilat-Aqaba (2006). The latter two have been in close collaboration with Jordanian colleagues.
With over 16 years of experience in both Academic and commercial projects, these activities led Ronnie to numerous locations in the US, North Sea, Africa and the Mediterranean where he have been a part of various expeditions.
