Nathan Stratton
Nathan Stratton is a recent college graduate, and was the leader and mechanical designer for McNeese State University's team in OET's 2014-2015 Engineering Design Challenge. His team designed and developed the winning tool, which is now used on the ROV Hercules to take samples of hard rock. Nathan was also mechanical designer for the McNeese team in NASA & LSU's 2014-2015 LaACES program, and a middle school robotics team coach.
Nathan Stratton graduated from McNeese State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in mathematics.
"I am interested in ocean exploration because the depths conceal a treasure trove of both scientific wonders and untapped natural resources. I believe it is vital to humanity's future that we fully explore and study the oceans, while carefully exploiting everything they have to offer."
