Mark Paton completed his Masters degree in computer science while at UNB working with the Ocean Mapping Group and the Human Computer Interaction lab. His masters thesis work was the basis for creating a company that went on to develop Fledermaus, a software product that has been widely used in the Ocean Mapping Industry for the last 20 years to help visualize, analyze, and understand data collected in the ocean environment.
Mark Paton graduated from Dalhousie University in 1991 with a computer science degree and physics minor and completed his Masters in computer science from the University of New Brunswick in 1993.
