Lourotos Panagiotis

What sparked your initial interest in your career?

Growing up in Greece my favorite pastime was watching Jacques-Yv Cousteau's documentaries. Sea and filming are my favorite passions and being able to combine these two is like a childhood dream coming true.

Who influenced you or encouraged you the most?

My first boss is who saw my love for filming and he encouraged me to keep working hard and follow my dream.

What element of your work/ study do you think is the most fascinating?

Doing this work, almost every day I have the chance to experience different subject matters and meet people from various backgrounds. I find this very rewarding!

How did you get involved with the Nautilus Exploration Program? 

A camera operator and very good friend spoke to me about the positive experiences of sailing on Nautilus and his experiences working on various deep-sea expeditions which led me to apply to Mumbian Enterprises, Inc.

 What are your degrees in?

Graduate of the "Film and TV school Lykourgos Stavrakos" in Athens Greece with a diploma recognized by the Greek Ministry of Culture.

What are your hobbies?

Traveling, photography, repairing equipment, and cooking.
