Katie Nichols
Katie Nichols teaches sixth grade science physical science at Maplewood Middle School in Sulphur, LA. She has been teaching for ten years and sponsors Maplewood’s cheerleaders and Kids Against Substance Abuse club. She is the lead teacher for the sixth grade team, serves on the campus’ PBIS and School Improvement teams, and serves as an administrative intern for the campus. She uses a variety of technology in her classroom as well as experiential hands-on activities for differentiated learning.
Katie Nichols graduated from McNeese State University in 2005 with a B.S. degree in elementary education and completed her master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from Lamar State University in 2014.
