Judith Gobin
Judith Gobin is a Lecturer (Marine Biology and Coastal Ecosystems Management ) in the Department of Life Sciences at the St. Augustine Campus, University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. She is a Marine Biologist with tremendous environmental and ecological experience in the marine and coastal areas of Trinidad and Tobago. As a marine scientist, she recently participated (as researcher and co-author) in the first Global Census of Marine Life (www.coml.org/ ) with the NAGISA (rocky shore) Caribbean project; with Trinidad being a sampling location. Judith is a member of the South American Research Group on Coastal Ecosystems (SARCE) and her special research interests are in marine species diversity and benthic ecology.
Judith Gobin holds a Ph.D (1994) in the field of Marine Biodiversity (University of Exeter / Plymouth Marine Laboratory, United Kingdom) and an M.Phil. (1988) in the field of Marine Biology/ Pollution Ecology (University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad).
