Garrett Mitchell

Garrett is a graduate research assistant at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping (CCOM) with the University of New Hampshire. Garrett studies seafloor morphology and uses various deep-sea remote sensing techniques using deep submergence vehicles such as ABE and Hercules to study the shape and processes that occur on the ocean floor. His M.Sc. degree at CCOM/UNH is centered around a previous cruise aboard the Nautilus where he his creating video mosaics obtained from Hercules on Eratosthenes Seamount and is developing data fusion techniques to explore the seafloor through geovisualizations using remotely sensed data.
