Bonnie Keller
Bonnie has been teaching science since 1993. The first 15 years of teaching was mostly high school level Earth Science, but she also taught Oceanography and General Science. For the last two years she has taught Physical Science and is now also teaching Environmental/Life Science. Bonnie has taught in public and private schools, parochial schools, detention centers and residential treatment centers. In addition to her teaching roles, she has also been the founder and director of two reptile hobbyist organizations, and has been published as both an educator and a reptile conservation and rescuer.
Bonnie graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 1993 with a BS in Geology. She continued her education slowly, but finally returned to full-time studies in 2009 at Montana State University. She completed her Master of Science in Science Education in June 2010, with a capstone project focusing on using metacognitive techniques in science teaching.
