Adam Pack
Science Team Member, Marine Mammals Project
Adam A. Pack holds a joint faculty appointment in the departments of psychology and biology at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo. He has spearheaded several university initiatives, including the development of its Marine Mammal Research Laboratory. Over the course of his more than 30-year career, Pack has studied topics ranging from dolphin cognitive and communication abilities to humpback whale social organization and habitat use. Pack has published more than 70 papers, book chapters, and reports, and his research findings on whales and dolphins have been featured in a variety of media, including the National Geographic documentary, Humpbacks: Inside the Pod.
