Abel Ho
Engineering Team Member, Marine Mammals Project
Abel Ho is a research engineer at the Acoustic Research Laboratory at the National University of Singapore. He specializes in marine acoustics and synchronized video and audio analysis. Ho has worked on several research projects focused on dolphins, including studies that assembled various high-frequency acoustic recording systems with synchronized video as well as biosonar experiments analyzing dolphin echolocation clicks to develop biomimetic sonar imaging equipment. Most recently, Ho conducted a study that designed and tested a real-time dolphin detection system using underwater acoustic recordings and an onshore camera in Singapore waters for population estimations.
