An Eruption of Life! OMZ, Are You Serious?
Exploring the deeper reaches of the Revillagigedo Archipelago offered us a chance to explore underwater volcanoes that had recently erupted--within the last 70 years! Moving ROV Hercules and ROV Argus up through the Oxygen Minimum Zone (OMZ), ranging from 900-700m depth, we gained an amazing look into the variety of different organisms scattered above, below, and within this extreme environment. Here are some of our favorites!

Again moving offshore from the Baja California Peninsula, Nautilus will return for deeper exploration of the Revillagigedo Archipelago, consisting of the islands of Socorro, Clarion, San Benedicto, Roca Partida and numerous associated seamounts.
