Photomosaics of shipwrecks, scours, and vents

Because light gets absorbed quickly by water, it is difficult to see large areas of the seafloor. On interesting sites, we therefore collect hundreds of still images and stitch them together to create photomosaics so that we can get a better picture of them. This album includes photomosaics of shipwrecks, seafloor gouges, and hydrothermal vent sites found on Eratosthenes Seamount in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
